On the 24th May, 1906 The Ritz opened its doors to the public for the first time, and a legend was born. Created by the man dubbed "hotelier to Kings and King of hoteliers" by none other than Edward VII, The Ritz is still utterly true to its founder's vision. Although the preceding 100 years have naturally seen changes to the hotel, were César Ritz to walk in today, he would find his vision of the ultimate hotel resplendently alive.

Restaurants:

The finest cuisine, the ultimate service. To dine at The Ritz is to experience arguably the very best cuisine available anywhere in the world. Our cooking reflects a new pride in British cuisine and produce. Our ingredients are the finest and freshest available, and of course the service is exemplary. A range of spectacular rooms and a disparate menu makes dining at The Ritz a memorable occasion.

The Ritz Restaurant
The magnificent Ritz Restaurant leaves an indelible impression on all who dine there, making it one of the world's most sought after places to dine. On Friday and Saturday nights The Ritz Restaurant holds a traditional dinner dance with a four piece band and a dance floor, enjoy a delicious four course meal and then dance the night away.

Palm Court
Tea at the Ritz is an institution in itself and we are proud to be a member of the Tea Council's prestigious Tea Guild. Served in the spectacular Palm Court, a choice of several varieties of tea, finely cut sandwiches, freshly baked scones, jam and clotted cream and a range of delicate pastries, combine to make for an unforgettable afternoon.

The Rivoli Bar
Every grand hotel needs a spectacular bar. The Rivoli Bar is one of the best, reborn in glorious art deco style. A symphony of camphor wood, satinwood, alabaster, gold leaf and Lalique glass, the atmosphere here changes throughout the day. Intimate yet never cramped, The Rivoli Bar is a dramatic and beautiful contrast to The Ritz house style, and a genuine revelation.

The Ritz London has a formal dress code in its public areas. Gentlemen are requested to wear a jacket and tie when using The Palm Court, Rivoli Bar or The Ritz Restaurant. Jeans and/or training shoes are not permitted in these areas. Booking at least 4 weeks in advance is essential to avoid disappointment.

Bedrooms:

Beautiful rooms, sumptuous suites. To stay at The Ritz is to enjoy the ultimate in style, service and sophistication. We offer five different types of suites, all with beautiful, fully restored period interiors and most with the facility to connect further rooms to each suite. Whichever suite you choose, you'll experience a level of service afforded only by a ratio of over one member of staff to each room, and the most relaxing, rewarding guest experience possible anywhere.

Facilities:

The Ritz: A one hundred percent service. As you would expect, The Ritz has a full range of services to offer, all in the signature Ritz style. Health and beauty, business and technology, fitness, it's all here. There's even something special for the kids. And all these services can be arranged simply by speaking to the hall porters.

Local Attractions:

An ornate desk in The Ritz foyer is home to a remarkable concierge service. With decades of experience between them, the gentlemen behind this desk regularly accomplish the seemingly impossible. From acquiring apparently non-existent theatre tickets, to arranging an entire itinerary, little is beyond them. No task is too big or small, and the Hall Porters go to remarkable lengths to ensure a customer's request has been met. Whatever you need, enquire here.
